A technician at Rentokil Boecke, Hamberlin is a union steward of the Teamsters Local 781. He is active in the Facebook group 18th Ward Connection, and Alderperson David Moore (17th Ward) recently recognized Hamberlin with a service award. His vision for the district council is “to ensure everyone is held accountable for solving problems.”
At a candidate forum at Kennedy-King College on Feburary 1, Hamberlin repeatedly denied having the support of the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP). However on February 7, he stated in an interview with The TRiiBE that he was in fact endorsed by the FOP. When the FOP released its official list of endorsements on February 11, Hamberlin was not included.
Alderperson Moore and State Senator Willie Preston (16th District) have endorsed.

Editor’s note: In the January 11 print edition of the voter guide, we mistakenly identified Hamberlin as “pro-accountability” with a dove icon; he is not. We regret the error.
