When Artemisia sent out word at the end of January that it was planning an exhibit of war-themed art, the response was swift and strong: a whopping 259 artists from all over the country sent in entries. Among the 41 pieces accepted was this untitled work by locals Kathy Pilat and Michael Ensdorf. “Response to War,” which runs through July 27, includes sculpture, painting, photographs, and mixed-media work. The gallery, at 700 N. Carpenter, is open 11 to 5 Tuesday through Saturday. Call 226-7323 for more info.
