Chicago’s own beloved Mr. Imagination, shown here in full regalia and surrounded by his work, is one of the artists from all over the U.S. whose work will be included in “Personal Voice: Outsider Art and Signature Style,” an exhibition the American Center for Design is hosting in conjunction with the annual meeting of the Folk Art Society of America, being held here this year. The show opens Tuesday, September 10, in the center’s gallery at 233 E. Ontario, suite 500. Hours are 9 to 5 Monday through Friday, and admission is free. Call 787-2018 for more information.
