Long-form improv inevitably involves some initial meandering to discover the story’s through line. And when performers adopt nonassertive personas, that further prolongs the process. Most of the situations in Humor Solutions’ interactive show will be familiar to corporate workers: the office Romeo’s amorous exploits, the chirpy receptionist’s possible dismissal, the perennial online porn problem. On the night I attended, however, only one character–Jen Malinsky’s ball-busting CEO–gave the others’ scattershot antics the sense of an impending story, when she turned a spectator’s innocuous remark into a sweeping directive to her subordinates. More interaction among the players would have shortened everyone’s wait. Through 1/21: Fri 8:30 PM, Sat 7 PM, Thu 12/22, 6:30 PM, no show Sat 12/24, Victory Gardens Theater, first-floor studio, 2257 N. Lincoln, 773-871-3000 $15.
