Sean Benjamin and Steve Mosqueda of the Neo-Futurists bring back the third installment in their long-running series of occasional performance-lectures about the bibulous lives of writers. (Though the series premiered in 2002, this volume–focused on the morning after the night before–debuted last summer.) Usually the two perform in bars, not theaters, but they’ve scored the best of both worlds with this one-night gig in the swank lobby bar of the Victory Gardens Biograph. Hangover cures of dubious value (cabbage, Pedialyte) and self-loathing prose from legendary literary imbibers (Charles Bukowski, John Cheever) combine in this cheery but sometimes subversive piece, which neither glorifies nor reviles life under the influence. a Thu 8/23, 8 PM, Victory Gardens Biograph Theater, lobby bar, 2433 N. Lincoln, 773-871-3000, $15. –Kerry Reid
