This too cute romantic comedy is a 160-minute sitcom about twentysomethings who are accidental roommates–and then accidentally in love. A sharper director than Chris Arnold might have whittled down this first play by Tony Fiorentino (who also stars) to something interesting. Even now it has its moments: there are some clever one-liners, and Jeannie Giannone–a master of subtlety in a cast of hams–is strong as the female half of the twosome. Mostly, though, the script goes for the easy laugh, mining 50-year-old stereotypes about men and women and thrusting the characters into predictable TV-land situations. We know how it’s going to end. The only mystery is why it takes so long to get there. Through 4/9: Thu-Fri 7:30 PM, Sat 2 and 7:30 PM, Sun 2 PM, Theatre Building Chicago, 1225 W. Belmont, 773-327-5252, $25.
