In his one-man show, Canadian impressionist Rick Miller plays all the characters in Shakespeare’s Macbeth using voices from The Simpsons. It’s a cute premise, but after the first half hour the joke of having Marge as Lady Macbeth and Homer as the blood-soaked rebel grows thin. Miller mixes high- and lowbrow culture the way The Simpsons sometimes does, as in its fourth-season musical version of A Streetcar Named Desire, but less expertly. His spirited encore is a rendition of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody,” performed in the personas of Mick Jagger, Tom Waits, and Bob Dylan, among others. Though Miller’s imitations are dead-on, only older audience members seemed to get a big charge out of his parade of geezers. Through 7/23: Wed-Fri 7:30 PM, Sat 7 and 10 PM, Sun 3 PM, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Navy Pier, 800 E. Grand, 312-595-5600, $30.
