In this new satire by Kenneth Paul Drews and Dan Filowitz, set five years in the future, liberals have taken over the country and a small band of Les Miz-style conservative rebels makes plans that include infiltrating the New York Times, which has become a propaganda machine. What starts as a send-up of conservative fears of high taxes and gay marriage quickly becomes an odd assortment of film and theater references that aren’t particularly clever or relevant. A pair of mock-British troubadours, played by Nora Best and Jen McGee, provide a few chuckles, but the funniest thing about this Disciples of Clyde production is the title. –Zac Thompson a Through 9/8: Fri-Sat 8 PM, Stage Left Theatre, 3408 N.
