Writer-performers Patrick McKenna and Ian Eastin have no idea where this hapless 50-minute buddy-bonding comedy is going. That much is obvious in the sloppy writing, unfocused performances, and stunningly inconclusive nonending, which in effect undermines everything that came before. McKenna plays an agoraphobic workaholic and Eastin is his predictable opposite, a risk-taking dreamer who supposedly will help his pal beat his fear of freedom. But their coming-of-age road journey offers only unremarkable revelations, like the facts that stolen cars break down and it’s not easy getting laid. If you think that “flavor-filled water balloons” are hilarious, you’re probably drunk enough to enjoy this show. Overwintering is underwhelming. Through 8/11: Thu 10:30 PM. ImprovOlympic, 3541 N. Clark, 773-880-0199. $10.
