Amy and David Sedaris wrote this cartoonish play about a woman who runs away from an Amish-like religious community, meets wacky characters, and ultimately finds empowerment in the manufacture of cheese balls. Oppressively quirky without ever being particularly funny, the play disappoints. But the cast of this Chemically Imbalanced Comedy production acquit themselves admirably, displaying verve, sharp comic timing, and unflagging commitment. Sarah Rose Graber, offbeat but not cloyingly so, is winning in the lead role. –Zac Thompson a Through 9/30: Fri-Sat 8 PM, Sun 5 PM, Cornservatory, 4210 N.
