Of the estimated 15,000 homeless young people in Chicago, roughly 6,000 are lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender, often kicked out by their families. This riveting theatrical documentary, created by About Face Theatre artistic associate Megan Carney and the About Face youth ensemble, delivers stories collected from these GLBT young people over a period of 18 months. The 17 young actors tell others’ tales, which are often surprising, with seriousness and passion. One boy keeps going to school after being forced from his home, while another has his first experience of homelessness at age six. The stories, both wry and desperate, add up to a heartbreakingly personal look at homelessness. Through 7/30: Wed-Sat 7:30 PM, Sun 2:30 PM, Victory Gardens Theater, second-floor main stage, 2257 N. Lincoln, 773-871-3000, $10-40.
