Not only does Heritage Bicycles in Lakeview charge a couple bucks less to fix a flat tire than most local bike shops I’ve been to ($10, which includes the tube), they also throw in a free Stumptown coffee. While you wait you can browse the fancy gear—Brooks saddles, leather bike bags, wicker bike baskets—or get a sandwich or muffin in the cafe part of the store. Heritage also makes its own line of Dutch-inspired bikes, welded in Chicago and assembled in the shop. And if you’re more interested in the coffee than the bikes, you can get a growler of iced coffee to take with you.
