Nearly a dozen professional kite fliers will demonstrate their stunt kite skills this weekend at the Brookfield Zoo, and the first 2,500 children (age 11 and under) to come out to see them each day will receive a free kite kit.* The Professional Kite Flying Festival, which runs Saturday and Sunday from 11 AM to 6 PM, also features free admission to the Children’s Zoo and Hamill Family Play Zoo, where there will be related crafts and activities.
General admission is required to enjoy the festival, but with a museum passport from your local library that’s free too.
*For the safety of the animals, only the pros can fly kites at the zoo.
