We’re kicking off Giving Tuesday early this year! Your donation today will be matched up to $10K, doubling your impact! If you donate $50 today, the Reader will receive $100.

The Reader is now a community-funded nonprofit newsroom. Can we count on your support to help keep us publishing?

Saturday marks the Museum of Contemporary Art‘s first Family Day of the season. From 11 AM to 3 PM, families with children 12 and under can enjoy free admission and a range of activities inspired by Alexander Calder’s The Circus (see the video below). In addition to half-hourly dance workshops, there’ll be three hands-on “creation stations” where kids can make their own circus materials, including sculptures, mobiles, and musical instruments using wire and found objects. There’ll also be a scavenger hunt, toddler station, and refreshments. Call 312-280-2660 for more.
