Kathleen Judge invited several dozen artists to design a city block for her Exquisite City, a 3,000-square-foot cardboard reimagining of Chicago. The finished product, including a sound installation by Favorite Chicago Sounds, debuts Friday at the Viaduct Theater. Many of the contributors will be on hand for the opening reception from 6 PM to midnight. After 8 PM, Tim Tuten of the Hideout (that’s Judge’s re-creation, in progress, at left) will lead walking tours offering anecdotal insights into the city’s precincts. A list of contributors, the exhibition schedule, and more info can be found at the Exquisite City Web site.
