On their debut full-length, Zeroes QC, Suuns hooked me in with a paranoid and unnerving brand of pulsing electro that, refreshingly, isn’t afraid to transform into slashing, lick-driven rock. I initially compared it to Liars, only a little druggier and more erratic. And if today’s 12 O’Clock Track, “Edie’s Dream,” is any indication, the foursome will be heading a little deeper down the rabbit hole on their upcoming album, Images Du Futur, which is due out in May on Secretly Canadian.
Creepy and meditative vocals, delayed guitar, and a spine-tingling sense that some lunatic is patiently waiting around that shadowy corner to stab you in the neck. Fun stuff.
