A show of work by French rock photographer Richard Bellia opens tonight from 5 to 11 PM at ThinkArt (1530 N. Paulina, ste. F). Drawn from Bellia’s new book, An Eye on Music: 1982-2007, the exhibit features music icons like James Brown, David Bowie, the Rolling Stones, the Clash, the Cure,  Nirvana, and Radiohead. The opening tonight includes a Q and A with Bellia and hourly screenings of Shanti Masud’s 2008 French rock doc, But We Have the Music, starting at 6 PM. Showing with the documentary is the ten-minute cartoon Botnik, J.R. Jones’s favorite short animation from last year’s Chicago International Film Festival.
