The Consulate General of Japan presents a free screening of Hana yori mo naho at the Chicago Cultural Center’s Claudia Cassidy Theater (78 E. Washington) Wednesday at 6:30 PM.  Hirokazu Koreeda’s 2006 film, a quiet update of the samurai revenge genre, is part of the International Summer Screenings program at the Cultural Center.  Upcoming screenings include Elevator, a Romanian psychodrama shot entirely within one (6/17), and another revenge saga, Lady Vengeance, by Korean director Park Chan-wook (6/24).
