On Thursday, the AFTRA (American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) and SAG (Screen Actors Guild) Senior Radio Players will perform two classic radio scripts from 7 to 8:30 PM in the Chicago Cultural Center’s Claudia Cassidy Theater (78 E. Washington). The live performances, which include work by voice actors, sound effects artists, and live musicians, are faithful to their original models. The first, “Fog”—originally broadcast on September 20th, 1942—follows a captain and his crewman en route to collect from an ominous debtor. The second, “Mr. Sycamore,” from 1937, is about a man’s decision to become a tree.
