On Sat 7/17, Kenmore Live Studio (678 N. Wells) is handing out free ice cream from local micro-creameries between 7 and 9 PM as a preview of the offerings at the second annual Chicago Luxury Ice Cream Festival, taking place Thu-Sat 7/29-7/31 at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum (2430 N. Cannon). Also, Bleeding Heart Bakery owner Michelle Garcia will provide a baking demonstration from 7:30 to 8:15 PM and offer samples of her latest creation, the ice cream cupcake, and the Grammy-nominated, Chicago-based jazz-funk-rap fusion ensemble Liquid Soul will perform.
