On Sat 7/17 from 11 AM to 1 PM, the Healthy Food Hub-Community Supported Agriculture (HFH-CSA) hosts “Grown and Healthy: Learning to Grow Your Own Food,” a free workshop on sustainable agriculture at the Betty Shabazz International Charter School (7823 S. Ellis). Leading the workshop is Fred Carter, cofounder of the Black Oaks Center for Sustainable Renewable Living. The HFH-CSA will help connect attendees to local community gardens where they can apply their new knowledge. RSVP to healthyfoodhub@gmail.com.
