On Saturday night at 7 PM the Empty Bottle hosts a listening party for Get Guilty, the imminent new solo album by A.C. Newman (aka New Pornographers leader Carl Newman). DJs from the bar will also spin, and free PBR, Schlitz, and Spanish Peaks American Pale Ale will be on offer, in case that sort of thing appeals to you. You’ll also have a chance to win copies of the new CD, autographed posters, and tickets to Newman’s gig at the Logan Square Auditorium on March 25. Obviously, you must be 21 or over; admission is free, but you also need to RSVP here. The event is presented by Matador Records and Insound.
