The Common Review, the quarterly magazine of the Chicago-based Great Books Foundation, has announced that Danny Postel, a former senior editor at Open Democracy, will be its new editor as of its upcoming fall issue.
Postel replaces Dan Born, who’s been at the helm since the Common Review‘s inception in fall 2001. (The Reader profiled Born and the magazine in 2003.)
Born, an English professor at Marietta College in Ohio prior to his tenure with the magazine and a current lecturer at Northwestern, is moving on to an academic position with Kaplan University’s School of Legal Studies. He will remain on the editorial board of the Common Review.
