Memorial Day is over, but there’s still plenty to do in this short, unofficial first week of summer. Here’s some of what we recommend:

Tue 5/31: Rahm Emanuel’s Chicago isn’t quite Game of Thrones, but that hasn’t stopped Duncan Ritchie and 1,800 of his closest Facebook friends from challenging the mayor to some good, old fashioned swashbuckling under the shadow of the Bean (Michigan and Randolph). 6 PM

Tue 5/31: If you showed up to work after Memorial Day with an unforgettable hangover, the Moth‘s theme for the evening, “escape,” is probably all too relatable. Storytellers at Fitzgerald’s (6615 Roosevelt, Berwyn) get five minutes to spin a yarn about breaking free and busting loose. 7 PM

Wed 6/1: Tracy Morgans Picking Up the Pieces tour arrives in Chicago at the Civic Opera House (20 N. Wacker) as part of the Onion and the A.V. Club’s Third Annual 26th Annual Comedy Festival. “It’s wonderful,” the comedian says of being on the road after a June 2014 car crash left him in critical condition. “After what me and my family have just been through, it’s really great—I missed it. It really lets me know how special it is to do comedy.” 8 PM

The night also includes performances by Conrad’s Amplified Drone Strings and filmmaker Bruce McClure. 9 PM

Roscoe Village favorites like Give Me Some Sugar, Volo Restaurant & Wine Bar, and Spex offer hors d’oeuvres and glasses of vino as guests meander through the neighborhood at the Roscoe Village Wine Stroll. This one’s giving us mellow notes of chill. 6-9 PM

Time to air out those tuxes and prom dresses—the Debonair Social Club (1575 N. Milwaukee) will go pretty in pink in all of its Aqua Net glory for the Neo New Wave Prom, an 80s-themed dance party. The throwback party also features video installations and a GlitterGuts photobooth. 10 PM
