  • “A Nephilim Grieves”

“I have always been reluctant to dream. At a young age I think I discovered how to keep my mind from drifting too far—It was self-preservation in those days. To quit the garden before it could expel me…”

Anna Patel create her filmed meditation A Nephilim Grieves based on Vignette-Noelle Lammott’s poem. It screens Tuesday 10/6 in the Midwest Independent Film Festival.

Patel is an editor for Foundation Post and one of a couple dozen advertising professionals stretching their creative muscles in the festival’s first Ad Community Shorts Night, which also features films by Scott Smith and John Fromstein, Paul Cotter, and Joel Anderson’s short documentary about troubadour William Elliott Whitmore.
