There’s plenty to do this week in Chicago. Here’s some of what we recommend:
Mon 7/11: Adele says “Hello” to her fans tonight at the United Center (1901 W. Madison). The British songbird also has a show on Wednesday night, same time, same place. 7:30 PM
Mon 7/11: The Hidden Shamrock (2723 N. Halsted) curates a weekly lineup of Off The Radar Comedy members while slinging up drink specials. 8 PM
Tue 7/12: We all have horror stories about a certain teacher, but at Detention Hall at the Hideout (1354 W. Wabansia) it’s the teachers who tell the stories. 7 PM
Tue 7/12: Get your lady-lit on with Sappho’s Salon, a monthly storytelling cabaret hosted by Eileen Tull and Liz Baudler at Women & Children First (5233 N. Clark) that focuses on themes of gender, feminism, and queerness. 7:30 PM
Wed 7/13: Allison Dunne hosts a slew of female comedians who are telling their nastiest stories at Ladylike at Cafe Mustache (2313 N. Milwaukee). 8:30 PM

Wed 7/13: View footage from NASA’s recent missions scored with space-themed music, including Gustav Holst’s The Planets and John Adams’s Short Ride in a Fast Machine during The Planets: An HD Odyssey at Ravinia Festival (Green Bay & Lake Cook, Highland Park). 8 PM

Thu 7/14: The Hard Rock Alley (230 N. Garland) brings together a group of artists and their “scent-scapes” out to trigger the olfactories with Activate: Smell. 5-10 PM

Thu 7/14: The GirlPinGang curates the Chicago Pin and Patch Pop-up, a vibrant show of locally-produced enamel pins and patches, over at Cafe Mustache (2313 N. Milwaukee). 6-8 PM
