If you missed Aimee Bender yesterday, you can listen to her chat with one of my socioaesthetic heroes, the Museum of Jurassic Technology‘s David Wilson, here. Wilson and his museum are the subjects of Mr. Wilson’s Cabinet of Wonder, a miraculous little book by Chicago Humanities Festival director and long-ago Reader contributor Lawrence Weschler. It’s still not too late to catch Junot Díaz, ZZ Packer and others, however, who appear at the Harold Washington Library at 2:30 as part of the kind of infelicitously named but very good Story Week Festival of Writers.

Speaking of Weschler, do check out A Convergence of Convergences: A Contest; it’s worth it. As is his interview with photographer Joel Meyerowitz, “Echoes at Ground Zero” (PDF).
