After dumping him for a purported rules violation last Friday, Art Loop Open has reinstated artist Bernard Williams as a finalist in its ongoing popular-vote art contest. But they don’t say how they’ll make up for votes lost to him in the four days he was off the ballot. That’s four lost voting days out of a total of only seven for the final round, with each voter limited to a single choice. At this point, ALO and the Chicago Artists Coalition, which runs it, might be praying for a Williams win, but even that won’t make this mess entirely right. Here’s the statement they issued today:
