The Chicago French Market‘s Bastille Day celebration continues, with vendor specials and live music till 2 PM and again from 5 to 7 PM.

At Bistrot Zinc a Bastille Day three-course prix fixe dinner menu is $29.95 per person; choices include rabbit rillettes with cherry salad, chevre souffle with sun-dried tomato tapenade, grilled salmon with roasted corn salad and red pepper coulis, coq au vin, a Moroccan-spiced vegetable-chickpea tagine, and stone fruit parfait, chocolate mousse, or traditional Paris-Brest, an almond-topped, bicycle-tire-shaped round of choux pastry with praline-flavored pastry cream.

At the Peninsula’s Pierrot Gourmet a three-course prix fixe Bastille Day special continues through July 20. For $32 ($38 with a wine pairing chosen by Avenues sommelier Michael Muser) guests may choose from salade Lyonnaise or chicken liver mousse and croque monsieur or leg of lamb with ratatouille, finishing with a vanilla macaron.
