It’s starting to be that time of the year when bands hit the road, and if you wanted to, you could see more than one great show a night. This weekend proves just that, with three days stacked with tons of awesome shows. Japanese post-metal/psych/doom/rock-‘n’-roll trio Boris plays two shows at Lincoln Hall; Friday’s show is opened by Young Widows and is sold out, but Saturday’s show with Pallbearer is still for sale. Canadian noise-rock band Metz, who seem to always be on tour, will also be at Lincoln Hall this weekend, playing on Sunday with the amazing Indiana-based, gothy post-punk act TV Ghost. Local garage duo White Mystery will be celebrating the release of their third LP on Friday night at the Hideout with Austin’s A Giant Dog. And Retox, a new hardcore band featuring Justin Pearson of masked grind-core weirdos the Locust plays at Township on Saturday.
