Gallery owner Ed Marszewski—the “king of Chicago’s underground art scene,” according to Paper magazine—is hosting three exhibits in two different Bridgeport spaces. “Carny,” at Eastern Expansion (244 W. 31st) features more than 75 photos taken by Paul Rizzuto when he worked for carnivals around the midwest. Individually, the images look like lost snapshots of a high-school fair. Collectively, they speak to nostalgia for another America—some place simpler, sweeter, and stickier. Running through Wed 8/18, the show is visible at all hours from the street.
