Technology is the theme for the 22nd annual Chicago Humanities Festival, and per usual the organizers have lined up a wide array of writers, artists, musicians, scientists, historians, and scholars to bring a humanistic take on the topic.

Among the dozens of speakers: Laurie Anderson, Adrian Belew, Common, Umberto Eco, Jonathan Franzen, Jeanne Gang, Amitav Ghosh, William Gibson, Lydia Millet, Bill Savage, Dan Sinker, Stephen Sondheim.

Tickets go on sale September 6 for CHF members; general public ticket sales start September 19.
