Fri 3/2-Sat 3/3: The Cloud Gate Dance Theatre bring their performance of Formosa, inspired by the territory of the same name now known as Taiwan, to Harris Theatre (205 E. Randolph). 7:30 PM, $22

Sat 3/3: More than 100 costumed teams compete in Chiditarod XIII, racing decorated shopping carts, full of food to donate, down the streets of West Town/Noble Square (meet at 1900 W. Hubbard). 12:30 PM, free

Sat 3/3: Japanese fashion from traditional wear to modern street style are on display at The Japanese Cultural Center’s (1016 W. Belmont) “Kimono to Kawaii,” including entries from the Chicago Wahoo Club and Chicago Street Fashion community. 5 PM, $10

Sat 3/3: A stack of scripts, some drinks, and fumbled lines make up iO Theater’s (1501 N. Kingsbury) Hot Reads, where scripts are read on-site by actors, prompting the audience to drink each time a line is flubbed. Midnight, $5

Sun 3/4:  Annoyance Theatre (851 W. Belmont) transitions from stage to screen with its recurring Annoyance Film Night event, playing local independent films every first Sunday. 7 PM, $2
