Tonight the Metro (3730 N. Clark) hosts Literary Rock & Roll, the flagship event of Columbia College’s Story Week Festival of Writers, featuring live music and readings from acclaimed and up-and-coming authors. Richard Price (Lush Life, Clockers), Lydia Millet (How the Dead Dream, Oh Pure and Radiant Heart), and Nami Mun (Miles From Nowhere) will read, and playwright and TV writer Rick Cleveland (Six Feet Under, The West Wing) will perform a monologue. Local soul band JC Brooks & the Uptown Sound caps the free, all-ages evening with a live set.
