Christian Lacroix, whose embattled 22-year-old couture house still does not have a buyer, is nevertheless keeping busy: he’s designed uniforms for employees of SNCF, the French railway system. The designer indulged in his love for color with purple bow blouses and blue berets, but toned them down a little with gray jackets. (Men get jackets, trousers, and striped shirts, but as far as I can tell no one has bothered to post a photo of them.)
