For the first time in about eight months, the morning Red Line train from 63rd to Grand ran uninterrupted and, more importantly (I hope), at a tolerable speed, even past Roosevelt. I’d forgotten how nice it is to get to work in 40 minutes. Not that I’ll be living in Woodlawn for much longer, but I appreciate the effort.

Perhaps I’ll have to scrap my ad campaign proposal for the CTA: “The new Red Line: Quieter.”
