Bears QB Jay Cutler yesterday allowed that he “probably shouldn’t have bumped” his teammate, left tackle J’Marcus Webb, on the sidelines during last Thursday’s game against the Packers. Webb had failed to block a Packer rusher, resulting in a Cutler sack, and Cutler had yelled at him on the sidelines before shoulder-bumping him.
As the Sun-Times reports, Cutler said he didn’t regret berating Webb, and wouldn’t have minded if Webb had pushed him back. The QB made his comments on his radio show on WMVP-AM (1000). Webb has declined to talk about the episode. Cutler had told reporters after the game, “When we’re not doing things the right way consistently, I’m going to say something. If they want a quarterback that doesn’t care, they can go get somebody else.’’
