Cinema puzzle master Darren Aronofsky (Pi, Requiem for a Dream) will appear at the University of Chicago’s Max Palevsky Cinema this Friday, January 12, at 6 PM to introduce a screening of his recent release, The Fountain, and take questions afterward. Presented by Doc Films, the university’s film society, this event is free and open to the public. Tickets will be available prior to Doc Films programs, beginning 6 PM Wednesday, at the Palevsky Cinema, Ida Noyes Hall, 1212 E. 59th Street (limit one per person). The screening of Half Nelson previously scheduled for Friday at 6:45 PM has been canceled to accommodate the event.
