Four-and-a-half years in the making, the Dill Pickle Food Co-op (3039 W. Fullerton) in Logan Square will finally open its doors this Saturday at noon. After passing its building and health inspections, the 2,500-square-foot member-owned grocery store announced its opening date at a Quenchers benefit show November 20, and members have been stocking the shelves with local, organic goods for the past week (read more about the process on the co-op’s blog). As both a Logan Square resident and member (#183 to be exact), I’m pretty excited to check out Chicago’s one and only food co-op.
