- Shoppers at the inaugural Dose Market in June
Dose Market, a new monthly food and fashion bazaar, will have its second outing this Sunday from 10 AM to 4 PM at the River East Art Center. Visitors who arrive between ten and noon receive a complimentary strawberry-Thai basil cocktail from the Aviary, in keeping with the second incarnation of Next, where Grant Achatz, executive chef Dave Beran, and crew debut their prix fixe Tour of Thailand beginning tonight. Vendors at the market include Great Lake, City Provisions, Hoosier Mama Pie, and Black Dog Gelato, and X-Marx supper club and Rare Tea Cellar will collaborate on a pop-up Chinese food stand featuring street fare like buns and hand-cut noodles as well as truly rare teas like Emperor’s Dragonwell, which is picked just two days a year. Fashion vendors include the Evanston boutique Chalk and accessories designer Kristin Mariani’s accessories line Redshift Rocks. Tickets are $10 at the door; there’s also the option of buying six months’ worth for $30.
