Improv juggernaut David Pasquesi of TJ & Dave stars in two of the 16 comedic shorts on tonight’s bill at the monthly Midwest Independent Film Festival.  Pasquesi appears alongside Hanie Lynch in Martini Girls: according to the festival program, “a tumultuous night out on the town for two unsuspecting urbanites.”  It’s directed by Byron Hatfield and Nothing Like the Holidays executive producer Reid Brody.  Pasquesi also appears in Steve Delahoyde’s Regrets: Hobbies.

Also on the program, Special Needs, in which “one couple’s movie night takes an unexpected turn.”  Featuring Brad Morris and Emily Wilson of Second City, from Scott Smith and John Fromstein of Fulton Market Media, the team behind the documentary Being Bucky.

The Midwest Independent Film Festival’s Comedic Shorts program is tonight at Landmark’s Century Centre, 2828 N. Clark St.  Cocktail reception at 6 PM, producing panel with sponsor Macprofessionals at 6:30, screening at 7:30.  $10-15 tickets include after party at Forno Diablo, 433 W.
