Last fall I wrote a blog post about Relay Records, the sharp little vanity imprint operated by drummer Tim Daisy. While he’s used the label to make live recordings by some of his projects available to the general public, much of what he’s issued has actually been top-notch studio outings, including excellent duet albums with trombonist Jeb Bishop and cellist Daniel Levin. Yesterday Relay issued its latest effort, and it might be the best one yet. Sadly, it’s available only as a digital download.
