The Drive-By Truckers will appear on Late Night With Conan O’Brien tonight. When the DBTs have a new album out (Brighter Than Creation’s Dark, which reached number 37 on the Billboard album chart in February), that usually means a good solid year of road work–as if they really were truckers, hauling a WIDE LOAD OF ROCK. Muscle Shoals veteran Spooner Oldham will accompany them on the O’Brien show, as he will for much of the tour. Their Chicago date is May 3 at Metro.
