While the volume may not be as much as in previous weeks, this week’s Early Warnings are damn loaded. The Empty Bottle alone announced shows with Big Freedia, the Crystal Stilts, Grails and James Blackshaw, and the Spits. Reggie’s went the headbanging route, like they do, with Converge and Trap Them, Gave and Blood Red Throne, and Sacred Reich.
Big names this week include Neil Young playing a pair of dates at the Chicago Theatre, My Morning Jacket visiting the Auditorium Theatre, and Death Cab for Cutie tugging away at the heartstrings of Metro. The Melvins, Dax Riggs, and the zombies of Motley Crue and Poison will also be rolling through town.
