This week’s show announcements are a tad sparse due to the impending Memorial Day weekend, but a few more summer festivals have rolled out all or part of their schedules. West Fest, Taste of Randolph Street, the Chicago Jazz Festival, Ribfest Chicago, and FitzGerald’s American Music Festival are all included in this issue (for even more summer music festivals, check out the breakdown in last week’s summer guide).
Other announcements for the week include Califone at the Empty Bottle, the Hold Steady with the Donkeys at Metro, Jolie Holland at Lincoln Hall, Thee Oh Sees at the Empty Bottle, Anvil at Reggie’s Rock Club, and some sort of mini Chicago tour by Peter Bjorn and John that visits the Empty Bottle, Lincoln Hall, and Schubas.
