Though this week’s show announcements are dominated by indie-rock powerhouses like the Arcade Fire, the National, Iron & Wine, Cut Copy, the Mountain Goats, and the Kills, as far as I’m concerned the big news is the package tour of Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks that’s coming to the United Center in April. The duet opportunities are worth the price of admission alone. If Stevie came out onstage during “Maggie May,” I know for a fact that my mom would flip.

Other notable new Early Warnings include Dinosaur Jr. front man J. Mascis at Subterranean with Kurt Vile & the Violators, Lightning Bolt at Logan Square Auditorium, Swedish black-metal provocateurs Marduk at Bottom Lounge, and Robert Plant & the Band of Joy at the Auditorium Theatre.

This was a damn good week for show announcements, so there are plenty more worth knowing about—check out the best of the rest after the jump.
