The Pitchfork afterfest announcements are starting to roll in, with Best Coast, Real Estate, Titus Andronicus, and Kurt Vile all doubling up during what is sure to be a rowdy weekend in July.
Other high points of this week’s Early Warnings include Lou Barlow with Wye Oak at Schubas, Belle & Sebastian at the Chicago Theatre, the Gories at the Empty Bottle (finally! a Chicago date!), Young Widows at Beat Kitchen, Islands and Memoryhouse at Lincoln Hall, and three great Metro shows from Eels, Four Tet, and Menomena. The inaugural North Coast Music Festival in Union Park (9/3-5) was also announced, with a lineup that features the Chemical Brothers, Nas & Damian Marley, the Disco Biscuits, the Cold War Kids, De La Soul, and others.
