With few if any summer festivals left to be announced, fall concerts have been the norm for Early Warnings in July.

This week Foals, Chapterhouse, and the Vaselines were added to the schedule at Schubas’ younger but bigger brother, Lincoln Hall. The five-day all-you-can-eat punk smorgasbord Riot Fest, held October 6-10 at five venues—Congress Theater, Metro, House of Blues, Double Door, and Subterranean—started announcing acts. The festival’s roster always includes a fair number of reunions and rare performances from barely active veteran bands, and this year it includes Articles of Faith, Corrosion of Conformity, Snapcase, Circle Jerks, the Cro-Mags, the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, and about 17,000 more.

Among the other Early Warnings highlights this week are Early Man at Reggie’s Rock Club, the Ettes at the House of Blues Back Porch Stage, the Hold Steady at the Vic, Miike Snow at the Riviera Theatre, Nachtmystium with Zoroaster at Reggie’s Rock Club, the Ponys at Bottom Lounge, and the Strange Boys with Gentlemen Jesse & His Men at the Empty Bottle.
