Kenneth Cole is flogging some “eco-friendly” items—a tank top, a messenger bag, and a tote. All of the proceeds go to the company’s AWEARNESS Fund, which will funnel resources to various charitable organizations. But wouldn’t it be more eco-friendly and socially responsible to sell things that people actually, you know, want, as opposed to crap that 95 percent of the population ends up with somehow for free anyway?
