Details have been announced for an event on Friday, February 5, honoring of the late gay political cartoonist and AIDS activist Daniel Sotomayor. The event is held in conjunction with A Hero Comes Home, an exhibit of Sotomayor’s work, which is up now and running through March 5 at the Institute of Puerto Rican Arts & Culture. The program includes a screening of Short Fuse: Portrait of an AIDS Activist, a documentary about Sotomayor, followed by a viewing of more than 100 of his political cartoons. A Hero Comes Home marks the 18th anniversary of Sotomayor’s death from AIDS at age 33. Fri 2/5, 6:30 PM, Institute of Puerto Rican Arts & Culture, 3015 W.
